Mercury Lacrosse Roundup: Hill School doubles up Peddie School

Hill School 12, Peddie School 6 >> Allowing just two goals in the second half, the Blues won a back-and-forth Mid-Atlantic Prep League clash with Peddie Saturday.

Nolan Smith led the Hill with four goals and one assist, and Carter Page recorded a hat trick. JD Shepherd had a four-point afternoon for Hill on two goals and two assists, and goalkeeper Zach Phillips stopped 13 shots to earn the victory in net.

Conrad Weiser 9, Daniel Boone 6 >> Austin Shearer scored three goals and Ryan Drobnick added three assists to lead the Scouts past the Blazers.

Tommy Buchert and Jude Segaline each had one goal and one assist for Boone.

Wissahickon 11, Perkiomen Valley 5 >> Jumping out to a 3-1 lead, the Trojans never looked back on the way to the non-league victory.

For PV (2-5), Sam Nice had two goals while Matt Farrington (one assist), Jack Scaliti (two assists) and Nick Beaudoin completed the scoring. Matt Brock was 9-for-10 on faceoffs, and Rob Farrington provided six-save goaltending.

Girls lacrosse

Hill School 16, Peddie School 6 >> The Blues jumped out to an 11-1 halftime lead and maintained a 10-goal advantage throughout the second half, handling Peddie School in the team’s opening Mid-Atlantic Prep League contest. 

For the second consecutive game, Tatumn Eccleston recorded nine points (five goals, four assists) to lead all scorers. Lindsey Coffey had four goals and three assists, and Hannah Spease added three goals in addition to maintaining 12 draw controls. Logan Clouser also netted a hat trick.
