Swimming: Clark leads Glen Mills over Chi

Frankie Clark picked up a pair of victories including an impressive showing the 100 butterfly to propel Glen Mills to an 87-77 Del Val League triumph over Chichester.

Clark added a win in the 200 freestyle relay with Omar Hopkins, Zunir Walker and Xavier Osuna.

Chichester tallied victories in nine events, including three each from Luke Schealer (200 medley relay, 200 individual medley, 100 backstroke) and Corey Kan (50 free, 100 free, 400 free relay). Matthew Sendek was also a triple-winner in the 400 free relay, 200 medley relay and 100 breaststroke.

In the Central League:

Springfield 101, Strath Haven 82 >>Victories by Jason Breslin in the 100 back and Owen Seifried in the 100 breast helped Springfield finish strong for a win late Wednesday.

Logan DeConti won the 200 IM and swam legs on the winning 200 medley and 200 free relay for the Cougars. Michael Huegel captured the 100 fly.

Haven got two wins apiece from Will Resweber in the distance events and Andrew McLaughlin in the sprints. They combined to propel the 200 free relay to victory.

Lower Merion 99, Haverford 85 >> David Abrahams won the 200 IM and 100 breast, and Jackson Graham won the 50 and 100 free, but the Fords fell. Zach Given claimed the 100 back, and Dean Carson won diving.

In the Ches-Mont League:

W.C. Rustin 104, Sun Valley 74 >> Nick Fursman won the 500 free, and Andrew Cerami was victorious in the 100 back, but the Vanguards fell.

Girls Swimming

The Bergstroms, Sydney and Sophie, won the first two events late Wednesday to spark a 94-73 win for Strath Haven over Springfield. Sydney Bergstrom won the 200 free and was quickest in the 100 breast, while Sophie was tops in the 200 IM before doing the same in the 100 back.

Mia Yancey won the 50 free and 100 free for Haven, and Ava Dijestelbloem scored 264.15 to claim diving gold.

Also in the Central League:

Lower Merion 100, Haverford 84 >> Elsley Hazell won the 100 fly, and Grace Myers followed by winning the 100 free, but two wins by distance star Anna Kalandadze paced the Aces to the win.

In the Ches-Mont League:

Rustin 106, Sun Valley 74 >> Madison Mason won the 100 free and 100 back, and Jenna Johnson bested the field in the 200 IM, but Sun Valley came up short.
