Lanzalotto stands tall, Notre Dame punishes Penn Charter

Jackie Lanzalotto wasn’t too busy Friday, but when she needed to be, she came up big for Notre Dame.

Lanzalotto made eight saves in net, posting a first-half shutout as Notre Dame topped Penn Charter, 12-4, Friday in an Inter-Ac contests.

Notre Dame led 5-0 at the break and never looked back.

Makenzie Irvine paced the offense with four goals and an assist. Claire Nappi added a hat trick, while Kelly Coyle paired two goals with a helper.

In nonleague action:

Episcopal Academy 15, Abington 3 >> Olivia Dirks and Katie Crager tucked away two goals apiece, Dirks adding an assist as the Churchwomen rolled.

Taylor Lucey added three assists, and Rachel Yackel and Devon Whitaker scored twice each for EA.

Plymouth Whitemarsh 14, Ridley 11 >> Emily Johnston scored four goals, and Hannah Crowley added three goals and an assist, but an 8-2 halftime deficit was too much to surmount.

Haley Adam and Sydney Zimmerman tallied twice each for Ridley.
