Vance, Smith shoot Methacton past Phoenixville

Methacton 186, Phoenixville 216 >> Kyle Vance and Harvey Smith shared low-man honors in leading the Warriors to victory over the Phantoms in their PAC match at Pickering Valley.
Vance and Smith had one-under-par 35s while teammate Dan Rieger followed at even-par 36. Mike Ellis was Phoenixville’s leader at 39.
Fleetwood 21.5, Daniel Boone 2.5 >> Jeremiah Jarboe shot a one-under 45 on Arrowhead’s Blue course to head the Tigers’ Berks Conference victory over the Blazers.
Boone’s best individual outings came from Colin Gabbett, who had a team-low 54 for the 12-hole match; and Nick Fry, whose 58 tied him with Fleetwood’s Evan Pingitore and gave the locals 1.5 points.
Malvern Prep 241, Hill School 242 >> After losing their 2015 match by a single stroke, Malvern Prep returned the favor and scored a one-stroke victory over the Blues.
Captain Stuart Fuller tied for low man with partner Charlie Musto, both shooting 38s for nine holes. Newcomer Jack Murray shot three over par (39) in his first varsity match.
