Main Line baseball wrap-up: Conestoga pitcher Mark Anderson throws no-hitter

Conestoga senior pitcher Mark Anderson pitched a no hitter in a 10-0 win against Lower Merion Monday.  Anderson pitched five innings, giving up one walk and striking out six in the process. Angus Mayock had three hits, Tim Miller went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs.  Senior Tom Fogarty added two RBIs as well.

In other Main Line high school baseball action:

Shipley came away with a 16-1 win over Delco Christian in four innings Monday.  Will Robinson and Trevor Stokes handled the pitching duties with Robinson getting the win. Offensively, Jesse Haines hit a three-run home run in the first inning as the Gators put up eight runs in the inning. Jack Dougherty (3-for-3, two RBI’s), Gerard Sweeney (2-for-4, four RBI’s) and Blake Rodack (2-for-4, two RBI’s) led the offense.  Shipley improved to 11-6 on the year and has won seven of its last eight games.
