Woodton’s clutch free throws send Academy Park home happy

Mahya Woodton banked a pair of free throws in the waning seconds to ice Academy Park’s 60-59 nonleague win over Phoenxville Saturday.

Woodton led four players in double figures with 19 points. Shantalay Hightower scored 14, Raven-Monet Kemper added 14 and Trea-sure Ketter chipped in 10.

It was AP’s seventh victory of the season.

Harford Christian 45, Christian Academy 40 >> Danay Cooks-Green had 12 points and Grace Gormley contributed 10 as the Crusaders (12-4) fell in the championship game.

In the Central League:

Haverford 45, Marple Newtown 26 >> Brianna Blair netted 12 points and Ashley Murphy had 11 for the Fords (8-7,

6-4), who got 10 assists from point guard Mollie Reynolds.

Olivia Young fronted the Tigers with 11 points and Megan Lynch added 10.

Garnet Valley 57, Radnor 32 >> Nicole Barnes led the way for the Jaguars (13-2, 9-1) with 13 points and four assists. Emily McAteer recorded 12 points and nine rebounds.

Lower Merion 37, Springfield 35 >> Ashley Roberts hit a layup with 20 seconds to play to give the host Aces the win. Belle Mastropietro poured in a game-high 15 points for the Cougars (10-4, 7-3).

Conestoga 43, Strath Haven 31 >> Rachel Vresilovic scored a team-high 10 points for the Panthers. Ellie Mack dropped in 25 points for the Pioneers.

In the Bicentennial League:

Delco Christian 46, Christopher Dock 35 >> Emma Ellsworth made five straight 3-pointers as she scored all of her 17 points after halftime, while Siani McNeil led all players with 23 points for the Knights (10-5, 6-5).
