Thompson powers Delco Christian past Chichester

A three-goal, two-assist game from Alex Thompson helped the Delco Christian girls soccer team close its schedule with an emphatic 6-1, nonleague victory over Chichester Wednesday.
The result left the Knights with a record of 9-8. Whether that season will continue in the PIAA District One Playoffs is yet to be seen. Delco Christian sits on the postseason bubble.
If the Knights receive bad news when the draw is revealed, at least they’ll have one last home win to hang their hat on. Twins Jillian and Jessica Freeman chipped in on the Thompson-led offense with each scoring a goal. Faith Warmhold, who made three saves in goal in the first half, even got in on the act. She scored the sixth and final goal.
Haley Coate did all she could in the Eagles’ net. She made 15 saves in the loss.
