Conestoga, Haverford School, Malvern Prep in top 10 of SE Pa. soccer coaches poll
Three Main Line schools – Conestoga, Haverford School and Malvern Prep – were in the top 10 boys’ teams in the Oct. 12 Southeast Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association poll.
The top 20 boys’ teams were as follows, in descending order (won-loss record in parentheses): Central Bucks East (first place, 14-0); Father Judge (second, 14-0); Conestoga (third, 13-0); Roman Catholic (fourth, 11-0-2); Haverford School (fifth, 10-2); North Penn (sixth, 8-2-2); Central Bucks South (seventh, 9-2-1); Malvern Prep (eighth, 9-0-1); West Chester Henderson (ninth, 11-3); Council Rock North (10th, 9-2-1); Pennsbury (11th, 8-3-2); Owen J. Roberts (12th, 12-2); Marple Newtown (13th, 12-3); Downingtown West (14th, 8-2-2); Boyertown (15th, 11-3); Penn Charter (16th, 6-2-2); Central Bucks West (17th, 10-4); Wissahickon (18th, 8-3); Springfield-Delco (19th, 9-2-2) and Plymouth-Whitemarsh (20th, 7-2-2).
The girls top 10 is as follows, in descending order: Central Bucks East (first place, 12-0); Archbishop Ryan (second, 13-0-1); West Chester Henderson (third, 12-1); Pennsbury (fourth, 12-1); Boyertown (fifth, 12-1); Spring-Ford (sixth, 13-1-1); Owen J. Roberts (seventh, 11-4); Downingtown West (eighth, 9-2); Central Bucks South (ninth, 8-2-2); and Villa Joe Marie (10th, 6-3).
