Malvern Prep golf team wins opener

Malvern Prep opened its golf season by defeating Catholic League rival St. Joe’s Prep, 226-231, Wednesday at Philadelphia CC on the Centennial course (par 34). Seniors Marty McGuckin and Mike Miller and sophomore Matt Davis all posted 2-over scores of 36. Senior Jimmy Murray chipped in with a 4-over score of 38.
