Stocku starts Penncrest off strong as it cruises past Radnor

Penncrest started with five straight wins Monday night and never looked back in a 50-16 win over Radnor.

Ryan Stocku got things started with a pin at 126 pounds. Zach Groses won a 2-0 decision over Karl Stark at 132, then Ronnie Frank (138) and Matthew Young (145) scored wins by technical fall before Ryan Dougherty’s pin at 152.

Radnor’s Tom Meyers earned a major decision at 160 pounds, and James Hong (285) and Owen Braithwaite (113 pounds) also earned decisions for the Raiders.

In nonleague action:

Sun Valley 43, Phoenixville 27: The Vanguards’ middleweight prowess led the way to victory, thanks to pins by Alex Elliott (145), Steve Okoorian (152) and Jim Pro (170).

James Schumaker earned a major decision at 120, and Christian Bateman scored an 8-4 decision at 121 for Sun Valley.
