XCalibur Invitational >> Kyle Gorant and Dymir Davis-Carruth scored third-place medals to lead the Hill School contingent competing in the tournament at Wyoming Seminary.
Both wrestlers went 5-1 in their respective brackets to head the Blues’ 20th-place (51 points) showing in the 27-school field. Gorant went 5-1 at 132 to earn his bronze medal, posting a 5-2 decision on Stroudsburg’s Jake Jones in the third-place bout; they had met in a third-round bout, with Gorant getting a 9-2 decision.
At 220, Davis-Carruth handled Quakertown’s Gavin Caroff, 6-3, in the bronze-medal bout. Another Hill wrestler, Will Hare, also competed at 220 and went 2-2 for the weekend.
