The Pottstown Penguins will conduct registration for the 2017-18 season. The Penguins plan to field teams at the Mite, Squirt, Peewee, Bantam and Midget 16 levels as part of the Delaware Valley Hockey League. ROAD RACING

The inaugural “Nuke the Leuk” 5K Run Walk will be conducted 9 a.m. Saturday, June 10, at Warwick County Park in Pottstown. All proceeds from the race will go to local resident Jake Weeks, who is battling leukemia. Awards will be given to the first overall male and female finishers, plus the top three males and females in the age groups of  14&Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+.Entry fee is $30 if registered by Sunday, May 21; $35 after that date.
