Summary
McKenna Sherman only needed 55 pitches to fire a 2 hit shut out as #12 Coatesville(15-6) defeated #5 Hatboro-Horsham in round 2 of the PIAA District 1 6A playoffs. Coatesville jumped out to the early lead in the first inning on a 2 run single by Payton Landis and an RBI single by Maddie Fleming. A Maddie Fleming sacrifice fly and RBI singles by Phoebe Clemens and Dana Henry plated the final 3 runs in the 3rd inning. Landis, Fleming, Henry and Ella Vetter each finished with 2 hits. The Lady Raiders played stellar defense and turned 2 double plays. Coatesville will now play at #4 North Penn on Friday.
