PAC recap: Spring-Ford, OJR add wins to boost playoff seeds; Pottsgrove has no problem with Pottstown

Spring-Ford 11, Methacton 0 >> Spring-Ford added some cushion to its No. 1 position in the Liberty Division with a victory over the Warriors.

Megan Kern went 2-for-2, including a double and a home run, while finishing with two runs scored and three RBI to lead the Rams’ bats. Maggie McConney, Ashley Della Guardia (two runs scored) and Sophia Cinti (three RBIs) each finished with two hits to supplement the two-hit performance from pitchers Sam Lindsay and Bri Kelly. Lindsay got the win in the circle, striking out three while allowing no hits in three innings. Kelly came on in relief, striking out one and allowing two hits in two innings.

Abby Penjuke and Elizabeth Talbot had hits for Methacton.

Pottsgrove 17, Pottstown 2 >> Kelsey Hochstuhl finished with a game-high five RBI as the Falcons downed the Trojans via Mercy Rule.

Rachel Cherubini added two hits, two RBIs and four runs scored in the win with Cori Dickinson and Savannah Wilson (two runs scored) each added two hits. Shauna Maggio, Santee Richards and Jayde Yergey also scored two runs in the win.

Kat Kincade, Gianna Epps and Alivia Lopez had a hit in the loss. Lopez finished with two RBI.

Owen J. Roberts 11, Norristown 0 >> Led by the bats of Casey Walker, Brianna Smith and Bridget Guinan, the Wildcats rolled past the Eagles to pull into a tie for second place in the Liberty Division.

Walker continued her torrid stretch at the dish, going 2-for-3 with a run scored while Smith added two hits (one double) and an RBI and Guinan two hits, an RBI and two runs scored.

Maddie Daubert finished with three runs scored, a hit and an RBI in the win, which saw Brittney Dellaquila get the win in the circle. She tossed three innings and allowed one hit. Ally Maupay came on in relief and struck out three in two innings of work.
