Owen J. Roberts tops Boyertown in PAC opener
Owen J. Roberts 8, Boyertown 3 >> The Wildcats exploded for six runs in the first two innings before tacking on two more in the sixth to come away with a victory over the Bears in both team’s PAC-10 opener.
Brianna Smith finished 2-for-4 with three RBI to pace the Wildcats with Emily Shaheen and Camryn Glenn each scoring two runs.
Alissa Vining got the win in the circle, allowing 12 hits and two earned while striking out five in a complete-game effort.
Emily Bradley pitched well in relief for Boyertown, striking out four in five innings of work.
