Spring-Ford 2, Perkiomen Valley 1 >> Tori Busa and Gabrielle Vagnozzi scored goals as Spring-Ford edged Perkiomen Valley in a Pioneer Athletic Conference contest Wednesday night at Coach McNelly Stadium to help the Rams celebrate Senior Night.

Amy Roth and Gabby Kane posted assists for Spring-Ford.  The Rams led 1-0 at halftime on Busa’s goal in the 19th minute.

Vagnozzi scored at the 58th minute with an assist by Kane to make it 2-0. Perkiomen Valley got on the board at the 52nd-minute mark on a free kick by Erin Paquette.

Spring-Ford used Amanda Byrd in goal in the first half, and she made one save. Alex Hyduke played the second half and had two saves. Perkiomen Valley used Leslie Adams in goal and she recorded 12 saves.

The Rams have 11 seniors with Madi Mitchell, Bri Cirino, Corinne Winters, Roth, Busa, Laura Suero, Rachel Astheimer, Sarah Johnston, Taylor Newhart, Vagnozzi and Anna D’Orazio.

Perkiomen Valley’s five seniors were also recognized prior to the game. They are Karleigh White, Kelsey Renninger, Kellie McAteer, Maura Cunningham and Amber Fields.
