Hotham’s OT goals lifts Strath Haven over Penncrest

Margot Hotham was in the right place to give Strath Haven a 2-1 victory over Penncrest in overtime.

Lizzie King hit a low rocket from 20 yards that the keeper could not handle, according to Haven coach Gino Miraglia. The ball hit the post and Hotham came crashing in to put home the winner. She also scored the first goal off a feed from Maddie Forbes.

Tara Higgins scored in the 76th minute to pull Penncrest even.

Garnet Valley 2, Lower Merion 1 >> Gia Dragoni tallied twice including the winner seven minutes into the first overtime period on a blast from 20 yards out. Jenna Buttermore was solid in the central midfield for GV (6-4-2, 4-2-1).

Conestoga 2, Ridley 0 >> Ariel Loevy fed Caitlin Donovan for a goal in the first half and then scored in the second half to seal the game for the Pioneers. The defense did not allow a shot on goalie Coleen Baldwin.
Defenders Naia Perry and Andrea Pezick were solid in front of goalie Olivia Rosado (18 saves).

Haverford High 3, Harriton 0 >> The Durfee sisters came up big for the Fords. Amelia Durfee led the offense with two goals, while Alison Durfee stopped four shots in goal to post the shutout. Brianna Blair also scored for Haverford (9-2-1, 6-2-1).

Marple Newtown 5, Upper Darby 0 >> The Tigers prevailed behind single goals from Brianna Clark, Eralinda Hessani, Becca Ritchie, Maddie Walsh and Eleni Valavanis. Goalie Halle Robinson posted the shutout with six saves.
Alyssa Hanrahan made 10 saves in goal for the Royals.

In the Bicentennial League:

Christian Academy 5, MaST Charter 1 >> Hannah Saryeka (three goals) and Lindsay Haseltine (two) did all the scoring for the Crusaders. Goalie Madison Dutton made nine saves.

In the Del Val League:

Chichester 9, Penn Wood 1 >> Jessica Sanchez-Valencia and Megan Carroll tallied three goals each for the Eagles (4-7-0).
