Presenting 2015 All-Main Line girls soccer teams

The Main Line high school girls’ soccer scene included a number of talented teams this fall, particularly Episcopal Academy (15-5-2), which won the Inter-Ac championship and finished second in the PAISAA state tournament.
The Central League had plenty of Main Line contenders for the title, including Harriton (which finished second by half-a-game with an 8-1-2), Radnor (third place, 6-1-4 in the league) and Haverford High (tied for fifth with a 6-3-2 record)
Friends’ Central (15-4) was champions of the Friends Schools League. Barrack Hebrew Academy (12-4-2) won their first Tri-County League title in three years.
Other Main Line girls’ soccer teams that enjoyed winning campaigns in 2015 included Agnes Irwin and Villa Maria Academy.
Although Baldwin School (9-9-2) did not post a winning record, the Polar Bears had their best overall finish in recent years and highest finish in the InterAc (fifth), doubling their win total from 2014.
The All-Main Line high school girls’ soccer teams are selected by the coaches. Because Main Line Media News covers 19 high schools, the Main Line Media News sports staff limits the number of sports available to first team, second team and honorable mention – but follows the priority of the coaches’ selections.
