West comes to O’Hara’s rescue in overtime

Cardinal O’Hara threw everything it could at Paris Banks in the second half and the Bonner-Prendergast goalkeeper was equal to the task.

It took extra time for the Lions to put out the victory.

Jenny West scored three minutes into overtime to lift the Lions to a 2-1 victory over the Pandas. It was West’s second goal of the game. She gave O’Hara a 1-0 lead midway through the first half, but the lead was short lived.

Meghan Campbell scored off a corner just before halftime to forge a 1-1 deadlock. Banks, who had had 16 saves, kept it that way until West found the back of the net early in the overtime.
