Agnes Irwin falls in penalty kicks in PAISAA semifinal

Only penalty kicks could separate Germantown Academy and Agnes Irwin girls soccer Thursday.

The Patriots ended up the better side in PKs, advancing 4-2 after the team’s Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association semifinal ended 3-3.

Kristin Burnetta scored twice and assisted on Lydia Bartosh’s goal in a topsy-turvy affair. Emily Fryer and Hannah Keating also chipped in helpers for the No. 2 seed Owls (14-3-1), who got 10 saves in goal from Kendall Shein.
