Street powers Academy Park past Sun Valley

Dakota Street netted five goals to help Academy Park speed past Sun Valley, 11-3, in nonleague action.

The Knights also received big contributions from Cheyanne Farmer and Zyah Newsome, who both scored two goals apiece.

Sami Brown led the Vanguards with two goals against Academy Park goalie Terae Mason, who made 12 saves in the victory. The Knights led 4-1 at halftime, and they pulled away with seven goals in the second half.

Kennett 19, Penncrest 8 >> Penncrest received strong performances from Grace Harding (four goals, one assist) and Becca Viguers (two goals).

Episcopal Academy 8, Great Valley 7 >> The Churchwomen pulled out a gritty victory over the Patriots behind Taylor Lucey’s four-goal, one-assist game. Julia Hondros had two goals and an interception while Katie Crager and Izzy Rohr finished out the scoring with a goal each. Sydney Gagnon posted 12 saves for Episcopal Academy.

Delco Christian 20, Lansdale Catholic 6 >> Emma Ellsworth and Jessica Freeman both had six goals and an assist, respectively as Delco Christian dominated start to finish. Brenna Richards had three goals and Allie Zubyk scored two for the Knights who broke out for 14 goals in the first half. Jillian Freeman, Carlie Foxhoven and Claudia Norton each had a goal. Jillian Orlandini had six saves on 12 shots on goal and only allowed one goal in the second half for the Knights.

Upper Merion 17, Cardinal O’Hara 6 >> Molly and Erin Grady combined to scored three goals, but it was not enough against the Vikings. Sam Donnelly had the lone assist for the Lions (3-2). Cali Cumtui, Anna DiRita and Chrissy Donohue each scored a goal in the losing effort.
