Caroline Todd scored off a feed from Ashley Sessa at the 10:22 mark of the overtime period to lift the Spring-Ford field hockey team to a 2-1 win over Methacton in a Pioneer Athletic Conference Liberty Division matchup Wednesday night.
Sessa assisted on Kate Crist’s goal during the first half before Methacton’s Rachel Alderfer evened it up in the second. Ashley Della Guardia picked up the win in the cage with four saves.
Phoenixville 2, Pottstown 1 >> Goals by Aubrie Breisblatt and Gabby Herschell fueled the Phantoms’ narrow PAC Frontier Division victory over the Trojans.
Onjelay Nixon scored for Pottstown, which got a combined 10 goalie saves from Chasy Jules and Lillian Stirk.
Pope John Paul II 5, Pottsgrove 2 >> Madison Green scored three goals during the second half to lead the Golden Panthers to a PAC Frontier Division win over the Falcons.
Nina Mariano and Kelly Pires added scores for PJP, which led 2-0 at the half. Bailey Murphy scored both of Pottsgrove’s goals, one coming off a feed from Jayde Yorgey.
Perkiomen Valley 9, Norristown 0 >> Nine different players registered a goal in the Vikings’ PAC Liberty Division win over the Eagles.
Teresa Bartkowski, Bella Ricci, Kelly Baitinger, Ashley Elvidge, Marie Lindberger, Emma Lafferty, Madison Paisley, Chloe Miller and Ellen Gruber were the scorers for PV.
Upper Perkiomen 11, Upper Merion 0 >> Michaela Greczek and Adriana Gatto each had a part in four points during the Tribe’s PAC Frontier Division win over the Vikings.
Greczek scored four goals while Gatto had a pair of goals and two assists. Colleen Crenti netted a hat trick while AiYi Young posted two goals and an assist in the win.
