Can you choose the 13 or 14 best boys lacrosse players of the 2017 season?

If so, best of luck compiling them and their statistics and their college choices.

That was our task, and we did the best we could.

So if you have complaints, please consider we did what we could under the circumstances.

And remember, unlike baseball and softball, the particulars for lacrosse are not as readily available.

If your particular favorites were, in your view, overlooked, please keep in mind we did our best without prejudice.

And understand  we have no axes to grind, or favorites to play.

Try and enjoy and keep In mind that we tried to be as fair and objective as possible.

From Jenkintown to Plymouth Whitemarsh and Pennridge to Archbishop Wood, this was a banner year for scholastic lacrosse.

No district or state champs, but the athletes represented on this year’s PA Prep Montgomery/Lansdale All-Area Lacrosse Teams were more than competitive in their respective leagues, and their athletes will wind up playing collegiately everywhere from IUP to Ohio State.

As usual, the whittling down of players into one collection of standout players was as mind-numbing as it was interesting, but we hope we didn’t miss too many of your favorites, and we hope we did the area proud.

It’s time to raise the curtain and congrats to all:
