O’Hara’s White lowers boom on EA

Jim White’s boomstick carried Cardinal O’Hara to an 8-2 nonleague win over Episcopal Academy.
White went 3-for-5 with a double, triple and five RBIs. He smacked a two-run double in O’Hara’s five-run second inning, then ripped a bases-loaded triple in the fifth to blow the game open.
Kevin McKeon produced big time out of the nine-hole. He finished with two doubles, a triple, two runs scored and a walk. Jim Beaky allowed only two hits and one earned run over five solid innings to get the win.
In other nonleague action:
Episcopal Academy 4, Father Judge 0 >> The Churchmen (8-6) bounced back with an impressive showing in Game 2 of their doubleheader with the Catholic League. Cam Van Hoorebeke went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and Mitch Pagano had a pair of singles, an RBI and a run scored.
Alex McLaughlin earned the win with a four-inning start. Jack O’Reilly struck out four in two frames of relief.
Bonner & Prendergast 8, Springside Chestnut Hill Academy 4 >> The Friars (2-5) churned out 10 hits on the day, led by Tim Dougherty’s and Colin McCormick’s 2-for-3, 2-RBI performances. Dom Delabarba had a clutch two-out knock in Bonner’s six-run second inning.
Joe Nestel scattered three hits and yielded only one earned run over 4 1/3 innings for the victory.
Archbishop Carroll 4, Germantown Academy 2 >> The Patriots (6-1) notched their sixth straight win behind the bat of freshman shortstop Max Hitman, was went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
Kamal Gray, Ian Myers and Jack Houser combined for 11 strikeouts. Gray got the win after striking out six over 4 1/3 innings of work. Houser closed the door for the save.
LaSalle 3, Haverford School 0 >> La Salle starter Joe Miller blanked the Fords with six strikeouts over five innings. Isaiah Winikur paced Haverford with two hits.
The Fords paid tribute to Jackie Robinson on the 70th anniversary of the Hall of Famer breaking the color barrier in Major League Baseball.
