Perkiomen Valley 2, Methacton 0 >> Dylan Boyd pitched a three-hit shutout to lead the Vikings to a league win over the Warriors.
Boyd struck out five and walked one in a sensational effort on the bump as 63 of his 95 pitches went for strikes. Matt Szczesny finished the game with two hits and an RBI for the Vikings, which saw their two-run third prove to be the difference.
Varun Royyuru got the loss on the bump after a solid performance, allowing six hits in seven innings while striking out four and walking two.
Phoenixville 3, Upper Perkiomen 2 >> Matt Osisek-Byrne got it done for Phoenixville, allowing two runs over seven innings while striking out six as the Phantoms’ three-run fourth inning was enough to carry them past the Indians.
Matt Palubinsky was 2-for-3 with two doubles and a run scored in the win with Kevin Cushing adding two RBI.
Matt Schneider took the loss on the hill despite only allowing three hits and recording 11 strikeouts.
Owen J. Roberts 8, Pottsgrove 3 >> The Wildcats benefited from nine walks and six Pottsgrove errors to take the five-run victory.
The Wildcats only needed two hits in the win, which saw them put up two runs in the second followed by three-run innings in the third and fourth.
Corey Hennessey got the win on the bump, allowing one hit and one earned in three innings of work.
Garrett Bleakley and Sean Orrison had hits for Pottsgrove.
Boyertown 9, Pottsgrove 0 >> Tyler Mraz, Trevor Waldman and Nate Kline combined for a one-hitter as the Bears used a five-run fifth and four-run second to run away with the league win.
Mraz and Waldman both pitched three innings in the win, Mraz letting up the lone hit while registering two strikeouts.
Ryan Jacobs, Ben Longacre (two runs), and Ryan Weller (two runs) each registered two hits in the win. Jordan Shustack knocked in a team-high three RBI with Tom Randall knocking in two runs.
Spencer Mitchell finished with the only hit for the Falcons.
Boyertown 4, Pope John Paul II 0 >> Andrew Bauer pitched a one-hitter as the Bears used a two-run first followed by runs in the third and fifth to come away with the four-run victory over the Golden Panthers.
Bauer was effective on the bump, finishing with two strikeouts while getting the Golden Panthers batters to ground out 17 times.
Seth Endy (one run) and Tyler Kreitz (one run) finished with a team-high two hits for the Bears. Ryan Jacobs, Ben Longacre (RBI), Cory Melchior (RBI), Ryan Weller (RBI) and Quinn Mason each finished with a hit.
Ryan Lynn got the only hit for PJP.
Lawrenceville 2, Hill School 0 >> Lawrenceville’s Nick Silber out-dueled Hill’s Jeff Armstrong by hurling a no-hitter of the Blues Monday at Lawrenceville.
Silber threw 80 pitches, faced two over the minimum, and struck out nine in his dominant outing.
Armstrong took the loss, allowing only five hits but was touched for two runs in the decisive fourth inning.
Renaissance Academy 9, West Mont Christian 4 >> Renaissance’s Andrew Berry gave up four runs on eight hits but his 10 strikeouts kept West-Mont at bay while he and his teammates used 13 hits (including two doubles) to generate nine runs. Berry and his brother, catcher Tyler Berry, along with three other teammates each had two hits in an offensive attack that was spread up and down the Renaissance lineup.
West-Mont shortstop Ben Clarke had two hits, scored two runs and knocked in two runs. Catcher Christian Clarke had an RBI double and walked twice. West-Mont pitcher Ben Scott had three hits.
