Merion Mercy Academy trio commit to colleges

Merion Station >> Katie Ernst, Sonja Bjornson, and Diamond Figueroa made it official and announced their plans to continue their athletic careers in college at a recent signing event at MMA.

Katie Ernst will row for Drexel University; Sonja Bjornson will play ice hockey for Providence College; and Diamond Figueroa will row for Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

They join the 10 MMA senior athletes who were celebrated in a ceremony last semester. In total, 13 MMA seniors signed national letters of intent and/or made commitments to play sports on the collegiate level.
