Delco’s state wrestling qualifiers in Class 3A

Keito Shaw, Upper Darby >> The junior 113-pounder is headed to states for the first time in his career following a fifth-place finish at the Southeast Regional. He is 38-9 this season and 38-10 for his career. He faces Karl Shindledecker (19-10) of Chambersburg in the first round.

Chase Barlow, Strath Haven >> The freshman comes from a wrestling family. His father, Larry, wrestled at Sun Valley and Drexel. His older brother was a two-time Daily Times Wrestler of the Year at The Haverford School. Barlow was fifth at 126 pounds at the Southeast Regional and is 37-9. He goes against fellow freshman Jared Keslar (34-6) in the opening round.

Brendan Stocku, Penncrest >> The senior 145-pounder also comes from a wrestling family. His dad, Mike, made states for Ridley in 1989 and his older brother, Ryan, was eighth at 145 pounds as a senior at Penncrest in 2017. The younger Stocku was fourth at the Southeast Regional and is 31-8 this season and 126-27 for his career, the most wins in school history. He goes against Tanner Rohaley (21-13) of Canon MacMillan in the first round.

John Crawford, Strath Haven >> Crawford won the Southeast Region 160-pound title to earn his second straight trip to states. The senior is 35-2 and 88-30 for his career. Crawford faces the winner of the match between Dallastown’s John Ligon (39-10) and Anthony Robinson (35-8) of Williamsport.

Hunter Catka, Sun Valley >> A state gold winner, three-time state qualifier and two-time Southeast Regional champion, the junior 220-pounder and reigning Daily Times Wrestler of the Year is bidding to become the first wrestler in county history to win two PIAA titles. He won the 220-pound crown last season. He carries a 12-0 mark into the state tournament and is 87-8 for his career.

Tom Bramwell, Ridley >> The senior 285-pounder is the first wrestler from Ridley to qualify for states since John Rowles at 135 pounds in 1999. Bramwell is 31-6 and 45-14 for his career. He takes on Shawn Henniger (33-9) of Dallas in his first match.

Coltin Deery, Garnet Valley >> The sophomore 285-pounder enters his first state tournament with a 39-5 record and a 64-20 mark in his career. Deery holds program record for pins in a season (29). The Southeast regional champ faces the winner of the match between Oxford’s Sam Blevins (30-6) and Isaiah Vance (31-4) from Hempfield Area.
