Mercury Ice Hockey Roundup: Hill School girls, boys post big wins

Hill School 7, Morristown Beard 0 >> The Blues rolled toward their fourth straight WIHLMA championship by overrunning Morristown Beard in the semifinal round.

The Hill got offensive contributions from 12 players, headed by Allison Corser-James’ two-goal showing. Lexi Lombardi (one assist), Jordan Hower (one assist) and Gia Seravalli each had goals and assists, with Caroline Goffredo and Lindsey Coffey adding solo tallies.

Jessica Ciarrocchi and Madison Morton each had pairs of assists while Hannah Spease, Joyce Sun, Kelsey Staivecki and Jane McCarter added one apiece.

Goaltender Madeline Taubkin recorded her second straight shutout in the winning effort. The win is Hill’s 21st this season, tying last season’s total.

Boys ice hockey

Hill School 7, Hoosac 3 >> Sean Parker’s 16-save goaltending went a long way toward the Blues handling Hoosac School in a non-league game at North Adams Vietnam Memorial Rink in Hoosick, N.Y.

Ryan Long scored a late goal to help the Hill put distance between itself and the Owls.
