Mercury Boys Basketball Roundup: Hill School gets by Lawrenceville

Justin Adedinsewo scored just three points Saturday.

But it proved a significant trey for The Hill School boys basketball team, lifting it into the Mid-Atlantic Prep League’s playoff championship game.

Adedinsewo hit a 3-point basket at the buzzer, giving the Blues a 63-62 victory over Lawrenceville School in their semifinal game. The Blues will play for the MAPL title 2 p.m. Sunday at Peddie School.

Gabe Dorsey headed a quartet of double-figure scorers for the Hill, netting 17 points. Ryan Moffatt was one back of Dorsey at 16, with Caleb Dorsey adding 15 and Xavier Mayo 12.

Hill had a 52-50 lead on Larries after three quarters before sewing up the game in the fourth.

Perkiomen School 97, St. Thomas More 76 >> The Panthers rode another hot-shooting performance to victory over St. Thomas More in the Nike Metro Classic at Kean University.

Chris Arcidiacono tallied 34 points on six made 3-point field goals. Keeshawn Kellman had 19 points, and Niels Lane had 15 points. Tautvydas Kupstas had 15 on 3 made threes, and Philip Byriel netted 3 threes.
