Mercury Wrestling Roundup: Boyertown closes out PAC schedule with win

Boyertown 48, Norristown 22 >> The Bears marked their Senior Night festivities Tuesday by rolling the Eagles in their PAC Liberty Division regular-season finale.

Boyertown (3-2, 15-8), in a final tune-up for its latest trip to Hershey for the PIAA Class AAA Duals, got rolling with Julien Maldonado, Kade Davidheiser and Chance Babb each scoring pins in under a minute between 106 and 120. Broc Babb, Brett Breidor and Evan Mortimer added another flurry of falls between 152 and 170.

Spring-Ford 39, Wilson 26 >> The Rams, also with a final tune-up for the PIAA Class AAA Duals, rode a four-pin outing to victory over the Bulldogs.

Jack McGill (138), Zach Needles (145), Shane Reynolds (113) and Quinn Tobin (120) all got drops for Spring-Ford against a Wilson squad that was the Berks Conference’s duals champion. Coming off a runner-up finish in the District 1-AAA Duals last weekend, the Rams also got points off Seth Brogan’s decision at 285 and forfeits to Joey Milano (182) and Dominic Ortlip (106).

Upper Perkiomen 54, Southern Lehigh 21 >> The Indians scored 42 points at the start, their non-league victory over the Spartans bolstered by five pins.

Matt Milkowich, Matt Martin and Joey Carpenter opened with falls for UP between 106 and 120, Gavin Marks added another drop at 132 and Austin DiDomenico followed with a pin at 182. Zach Rozanski and Daniel Hawkins scored back-to-back decisions at 145 and 152 to help the Tribe build its early point bulge.
