Notre Dame sweeps Baldwin as Sheridan gets 200th win

Lexi Shreiner contributed 11 kills, and Maddie Donaphon had 24 digs as the Academy of Notre took down Baldwin, 3-0, in a battle of Inter-Ac volleyball unbeatens to give head coach Mike Sheridan his 200th victory.

The individual game scores for the Irish were 25-18, 25-17, 25-20. Sam McGarvey and Riley Shaak combined for 12 kills as the Irish (9-1, 4-0) jump to the Inter-Ac lead.

In the Central League:

Garnet Valley 3, Upper Darby 0 >> Dolce Whitwell had three kills and six aces, while Emma Rokosky added six kills and four aces for the Jaguars (13-2, 10-0), who remained undefeated in league play.

Annie Bechtold had five kills and three aces, and Ally Hartney chipped in five kills and three digs for Garnet Valley, which won 25-9, 25-10, 25-18.

Lexie Witmer had 31 digs, and Savannah Miller put away four kills to pace the Royals.

Ridley 3, Lower Merion 0 >> Melanie June had 21 digs and two aces, and Angela April erupted for 21 kills and three blocks for the Raiders, who had victories of 25-21, 25-13, 25-14.

Shannon Glacken added 30 assists while Alex Orr had six kills and Shannon McKee chipped in three kills.

Springfield 3, Haverford 2 >> The Cougars (26-24, 20-25, 16-25, 25-22, 15-11) were led by Emily Gowman, who had 27 digs. Jordan Galloway contributed 13 digs and seven kills, and Sam Kelleher supplied five kills.

Radnor 3, Marple Newtown 0 >> Erica DiCarlo had 18 assists, four kills and three aces, and Sammy Scannapieco had 11 digs and two kills for the Raiders (7-8), who claimed a 25-14, 25-22, 25-17 victory.

Izzy Criscuolo provided seven kills, Grayce Henderson added five kills, Grace Remphrey put home six aces and Helen Hu chipped in four aces of her own.

Strath Haven 3, Harriton 0 >> Hailey Blum posted 21 assists, eight digs, three kills and a block. Ellie Fisher had 11 digs, 10 kills and a block to lead the Panthers, 25-22, 25-10, 25-18.

Megan Prendergast (14 digs, four aces), Gabby McGinn (eight digs, two blocks, nine kills, two aces) and Gretchen Clauss (five digs, two kills, two aces, one block) contributed to the victory.

In nonleague action:

Sacred Heart 3, Academy Park 0 >> Jaycee Webster notched 16 kills, giving her 900 for her career, while Erin Corcoran had four kills and seven aces for the Lions, who took home wins of 25-8, 25-17, 25-20.

Bridget McGuinn added seven kills for Sacred Heart (8-9).

Bonner & Prendergast 3, Springside Chestnut Hill 0 >> Ariana McGeary (seven kills), Dakota McCaughan (five) and Alexis Piccone (four) helped power the Pandas (8-6) to 27-25, 25-19, 25-21 win.

Lindsey Fagan tallied 15 assists, and Omotayo Ogunbiyi had five blocks for Bonner & Prendergast.
