Radnor boys win three in cross country; Strath Haven girls complete perfect season

Doug Rosin and Ethan Zeh tied for first place with a time of 18:06 to lead Radnor to Central League victories over Ridley (15-50), Springfield (15-46) and Strath Haven (17-42). Frank Brown placed third for the Raiders.

Strath Haven claimed a pair of wins against Ridley (15-49) and Springfield (23-32). The Panthers’ top finisher was Alex Melly, who placed fourth. Radnor’s Owen Leonard and Andrew Rosin were fifth and sixth, respectively, while Springfield’s Michael Remy took seventh place. Springfield defeated Ridley, 15-47.

Girls Cross Country

Strath Haven clinched a perfect season with Central League decisions over Radnor (15-49), Ridley (15-50) and Springfield (14-50).

Nine of the top-10 finishers were Strath Haven runners. Grace Forbes was the overall winner with a time of 23:15. Abby Loiselle (second), Ava Crawford (third), Sierra Hellman (four), Paige Day (fifth) and Olivia Malley (sixth) crossed the end line in successive fashion.

Disrupting Strath Haven’s goal for a clean sweep was Radnor’s Abigail Idiculla, who claimed seventh place. Gwenyth Stack and Hannah Barkdoll tied for eighth place for the Panthers, while teammate Ava Fowler followed three seconds behind for 10th.

Radnor downed Ridley, 27-30. Springfield and Ridley each scored 28 points, but the Green Raiders picked up the win via tiebreaker.
