Carroll pitches another PCL shutout

Not only is Archbishop Carroll still undefeated in the Catholic League, the Patriots have yet to yield a goal in league play.

Thanks to a strong defense in front of her, goalie Mary Kate Kearney did not have to make a save to post her seventh shutout of the season in a 4-0 victory over Bishop McDevitt.

The Patriots (11-1, 6-0 PCL) have outscored their league opponents 38-0. Grace O’Neill led the offense with two goals, while Keri Daly and Carleigh Connors chipped in with one each.

In the Del Val League:

Chichester 4, Interboro 1 >> Muha Abuali scored three times to help the Eagles pull away from the Bucs. Chi scored three times in the second half to break the game open. Adrianna Willouby added one goal and one assist, while goalie Sophie Amalfitano made two saves to get the win.

Marissa Mullan scored for Interboro (5-7, 2-3) off assists from Jenna Schreiber and Dani Linker.

In nonleague action:

Episcopal Academy 6, Cardinal O’Hara 0 >> Maddie Rehak collected two goals and one assist to pace the Churchwomen to their second win in as many days and third in the last four days. 

Gianna Pantaleo and Kathleen Anderson added one goal and one assist each. Gianna Cilluffo made four saves to post the shutout.

Garnet Valley 3, Bishop Shanahan 1 >> Tina Rawa dished out two assists, Lauren Weaver and Morgan McClintock had defensive saves to pace the Jaguars. 

Kerri Bradley, Kendall DiCamillo and Sophie Easter tallied one goal each to pace the offense.
