LaBella’s OT goal lifts Carroll over O’Hara

Playing for the third time this week, Archbishop Carroll notched its second win in three days, beating Cardinal O’Hara 1-0.

Katie LaBella converted a pass from Maeve Riehman five minutes into overtime to give the Patriots the goal it needed to beat the Lions. Mary Kate Kearney made nine saves to post her fourth straight league shutout.

In the Inter-Ac League:

Episcopal Academy 6, Penn Charter 0 >> Annie Rau scored three times and added an assist to pace the Churchwomen (2-0-2, 1-0-1). Maddie Rehak contributed two goals and an assist, while Sofia Acosta (one goal, one assist) and Gianna Pantaleo (two assists) also had multiple points.

In the Bicentennial League:

Dock Mennonite 8, Delco Christian 0 >> Rachel Yeung made 21 saves in goal for the Knights.

In nonleague action:

Notre Dame 3, Conestoga 1 >> Lauren Curran recorded two of her three goals in the second half to lift the Irish over the Pioneers in a battle of local heavyweights.

Mia Leonhardt had the assist on Curran’s first and third goals, while Vivi Trumpbour fed Curran for the winner. Goalie Paige Kleft made two saves to get the win.
