Reporter Girls Soccer Roundup: Readinger sends Souderton past CB South

Sarah Readinger scored on a 40-yard shot late in the first half and the Souderton girls soccer team made the goal stand up as the Indians topped Central Bucks South 1-0 for a Suburban One League Continental Conference victory Thursday.

“CB South was an aggressive team today and put high pressure on us, however, our team again stepped up defensively and battled to create another shutout,” Souderton coach Lindsy Jones said. “Sara Readinger was a force in the middle, scoring her first goal from 40 yards out.”

Souderton improves to 2-0-1 (2-0-1 conference) with the win while CB South dropped to 2-1-1 (1-1-1).

Villa Maria 2, Mount St. Joseph 0 >> Murphy Sweeny and Ashley Reilly scored for Villa Maria as the Hurricanes shut out Mount St. Joseph for an AACA victory.
