Card. O’Hara ends 10-year drought against Prep

If beating St. Joseph’s Prep was one of the goals the Cardinal O’Hara golf team set for the season, the Lions can scratch that off the to-do list.
Junior Joseph Taggart shot an even-par 35 at Paxon Hollow Country Club to lead the Lions to their first win over the Hawklets in a decade with a 230-238 Catholic League triumph Thursday afternoon.
Taggart wasn’t the only O’Hara player to have a solid round. Luke Pastore and Tim Eglington both finished with 3-over 38s.
Danny Juliana and Brett Craskey each shot a 4-over par 39 and Michael Larkin shot a 41 for the Lions (10-2, 9-1).

In the Central League:

Conestoga 201, Haverford 220, Springfield 255 >> Andrew Damico, Riley Quartermain and Holden Ungvary all shot 8-over par 43 and Gregory Damico finished with a 46 for the Fords.

Michael Bednar ended the day with a 9-over par and Curtis Reed shot a 50 to lead the Cougars in a home tri-match at Rolling Green.

Will Blatchford took overall medal honors with a 3-over 39 to lead the Pioneers.
