Mercury Girls Soccer Roundup: Pottsgrove handles Upper Perkiomen

Pottsgrove 3, Upper Perkiomen 0 >> Skylar Glass figured in on two of the Falcons’ goals as they blanked the Indians in PAC Frontier Division play.

Glass got the scoring started, her sixth goal of the year assisted by Hailey Strain. Lexi Zook followed with her first of the season, and Glass added a tally off the setup of Anna Crater. Hannah Landis had 11-save goaltending for UP while Sierra Fretz needed to make just three stops for the shutout.

Pottstown 2, Upper Merion 2 >> The Trojans and Vikings split the points in a PAC Frontier matchup. Calista Daye and Kaleigh Martin scored for the Trojans while goalkeeper Emme Wolfel made 13 saves.

Pope John Paul II 2, Phoenixville 1 >> The Golden Panthers rallied in the second half with goals from Stephanie Marinelli and Julia Hull to knock off the Phantoms in PAC Frontier action. Lauren Luciani earned assists on both PJP goals while goalie Stacy Kormos logged seven saves.

Leeza Galli, assisted by Gabrielle Perrotto, scored Phoenixville’s first-half goal. Keeper Ella Stout made seven saves.

Spring-Ford 1, Boyertown 0 >> Hope Flanegin, assisted by Ella Curry, scored the game’s lone goal in Spring-Ford’s PAC Liberty victory over Boyertown. Riley Wallace had the shutout for the Rams while Boyertown counterpart Maddie Gallagher was excellent in keeping Spring-Ford to a single score.

Perkiomen School 4, Foundations Collegiate 0 >> Rianne Moll’s two-goal showing sparked the Panthers to victory over Foundations Collegiate.

Maddy Springman and Sasha Vasallo also scored for Perkiomen, Springman off a corner kick and Vasallo off a direct kick. The Panthers had a 12-4 edge in shots on goal and 9-0 advantage in corners.
