Mercury Field Hockey Roundup: Spring-Ford, Phoenixville tie

Spring-Ford 1, Phoenixville 1 >> Aubrie Breisblatt’s goal at the 2:45 mark of the second half enabled the Phantoms to pull even with the Rams and force a tie in their PAC divisional crossover game.

Kate Crist put Spring-Ford ahead at the 21:44 mark of the second, converting a penalty stroke. Ashley Della Guardia gave the Rams 13-save goaltending while Abby Delgrosso made nine stops for Phoenixville, which had 14-10 and 10-9 edges in shots on goal and corners, respectively.

Methacton 7, Pottstown 0 >> The Warriors jumped out to a 5-0 lead by the half then cruised to victory in a PAC matchup against the Trojans.

Frankie Lucchesi (two assists), Katy Benton, Alexa Kratz, Grace Hirst, Reilly Smith, Sammy Fuchs and Elena Snodgrass all scored for Methacton. Chaisy Jules and Lillian Stirk combined for 18 saves for Pottstown.

Upper Perkiomen 10, Norristown 0 >> Colleen Creneti netted a hat trick while Abrianna Gatto and AiYi Young scored two goals apiece as the Tribe blanked the Eagles during this PAC divisional crossover matchup.

Upper Perk (3-1 overall) led 8-0 by the half. Michaela Greczek, Kylene Gooch and Margo May rounded out the scoring with a goal each.

Perkiomen Valley 12, Pottsgrove 0 >> Katie Wuerstle and Saige Shine each scored twice as the Vikings blew past the Falcons in this PAC divisional crossover matchup.

Gabrielle Muschert and Anna Dawson each added a goal and an assist while Gabby Martina, Kelly Battinger, Teresa Bartkowski, Olivia Keyte, Emily Carney and Maddy Meehan were each credited with solo goals. Pottsgrove keeper Amanda Stone made nine saves in the cage.

Boyertown 10, Upper Merion 0 >> Trin Smith netted a hat trick while Laura Wigand made seven saves to preserve the shutout in the Bears’ win over the Vikings in cross-divisional PAC play.

Alyssa Vu, (assist), Kelsi McDevitt, Remi Lloyd, Lauren Eves (assist), Lindsay Flack (assist), Mackenzie Baro and Alex Morgan all notched goals for Boyertown in the win.

Owen J. Roberts 12, Pope John Paul II 0 >> Jenna Kirby and Bridget Gallagher registered three points apiece on the way to a PAC cross-divisional win over the Golden Panthers.

Kirby netted a hat trick while Gallagher had a pair of goals and an assist as OJR jumped out to a 7-0 lead by the half. Olivia Leclaire and Maddi Koury scored two goals apiece while Eloise Gebert and Julia Lamb each had a goal and an assist. Emily Himmelreich rounded out the scorers with a goal while Raina Smolij and Rylee Laloup each had assists.
