Mercury Girls Swimming Roundup: Parker leads Spring-Ford past Upper Merion

Spring-Ford 107, Upper Merion 71 >> Katherine Parker keyed the Rams’ strong showing in their PAC meet with the Vikings by topping two individual events.

Parker was first in the 200 IM (2:22.19) and 100 back (1:05.47). Arielle Garcia-Kaliner had UM’s lone individual win, in the 100 breast (1:14.70).

Owen J. Roberts 98, Upper Perkiomen 69 >> Mikayla Niness and Abbey Malmstrom each won two individual races to key the Wildcats’ victory over the Indians in their PAC meet.

Niness got her firsts in the 200 free (2:01.85) and 100 fly (1:00.94) while Malmstrom won the 50 free (26.32) and 500 free (5:33.93). Each one also swam a leg of Roberts’ winning relays: Niness the anchor of the 200 free (1:44.39), Malmstrom the lead of the 200 medley (1:56.91).

Phoenixville 107, Pottsgrove 56 >> Erini Pappas won two individual races to lead the Phantoms’ PAC victory over the Falcons.

Pappas took the 200 free (2:20.9) and the 100 fly (1:08.38). Jaclyn Kennedy had Pottsgrove’s lone individual first, in the 100 breast (1:35.38).


Schuylkill Valley 116, Daniel Boone 64 >> Rachel Woomer was the bright spot for the Blazers in their Berks Conference meet with the Panthers.

Woomer had Boone’s lone winning performance, a first in the 100 fly (1:01.07).
