Mercury Boys Swimming Roundup: Schwartz, Phoenixville sink Pottsgrove

Phoenixville 100, Pottsgrove 41 >> Mitchell Schwartz’s two-win outing headed the Phantoms’ victory over the Falcons in their PAC meet.

Schwartz headed the 200 free (2:08.23) and 100 fly (1:07.17), and he also swam a leg of Phoenixville’s first-place 200 free relay (1:49.05). Pottsgrove got individual firsts from Eli Eisenhower in the 100 back (1:25.96) and Patrick Agnew in the 100 breast (1:17.08).

Owen J. Roberts 94, Upper Perkiomen 68 >> Kyle Kovalenko was the meet’s big individual winner, taking a pair of races to lead the Indians as they opened their PAC schedule against the Wildcats.

Kovalenko went first in the 200 IM (2:08.07) and the 500 free (5:09.21) in addition to swimming a leg of UP’s winning 400 free relay (3:37.72). Roberts (2-0) had five swimmers head individual events: Logan Baker in the 200 free (1:51.75), Simon Crew in the 50 free (23.21), Tristan Olson in diving (167.35 points), Matt Snyder in the 100 fly (58.87) and Ryan King in the 100 free (51.87).


Upper Merion 100, Spring-Ford 85 >> Carson Hilliard and Matt Skilton each won two events to lead the Rams in their PAC meet with the Vikings.

Hilliard took the 200 free (1:54.51) and 500 free (5:08.55), and Skilton was first in the 100 fly (5.49) and 100 back (58.87). UM got a pair of wins from Justin Ardamoy in the 200 IM (2:15.12) and 100 breast (1:04.88).

Schuylkill Valley 87, Daniel Boone 66 >> Chris Guiliano won two events to head the Blazers in their Berks Conference meet with the Panthers.

Guiliano won the 200 IM (2:04.43) and the 100 breast (1:05.25).
