Gormley’s double-double powers TCA

Grace Gormley put on a show to lead The Christian Academy to a 43-27 triumph over Collegium Charter in a nonleague game.

The do-everything guard played lockdown defense and scored a game-high 20 points to go with 14 rebounds for the undefeated Crusaders (4-0), who held the visitors to zero points in the third quarter. Dejah Burley-Chambers added 10 points in the victory.

Penncrest 47, Chichester 18 >> Grace Harding paced the Lions (3-0) with 12 points and Moira Ward chipped in with nine. Kylie Chelo, who made the game-winning basket to defeat Radnor Tuesday night, added eight points.

Dei’Ney Monet scored a team-high eight points for Chi.

Abington Friends 53, Episcopal Academy 52 >> Aby Camarou’s putback as time expired in overtime handed the Churchwomen a frustrating loss.

EA (1-3) rallied from double digits in the second half to force the extra session. Katie Weaver scored eight of her game-high 16 points in the third quarter, while Seanna McNamara had all 10 of her points in fourth period and overtime.

Luca Mamula added 13 points and Weaver grabbed six rebounds.
