Mercury Boys Basketball Roundup: Hamilton, Phoenixville sink Collegium Charter

Steven Hamilton headed a quartet of double-figure scorers that enabled the Phoenixville boys basketball team to outscore Collegium Charter, 69-59, in their non-league game Tuesday night.

Hamilton scored 20 points to lead Phoenixville, which built a 38-26 halftime lead. K.J. Quinn added 16 while Quinn Danna and Colton Brown had 10 apiece.

Perkiomen School 72, Lawrenceville 69 >> The Panthers dueled with the Larries to an all-even regulation-time showing, then went on to win the non-league contest in overtime.

Nick Guadarrama finished with a game-high 28 points for Perkiomen. Tautyvdas Kupstas added 12 points and Titus Wilkins posted 10.

Bishop McDevitt 60, Pope John Paul II 42 >> The Lancers jumped out to a 22-9 lead by the half and cruised to a non-conference win against the Golden Panthers.

Upper Perkiomen 54, Oley Valley 40 >> Liam Boyle and Will Walker combined for 31 points to key the Indians’ non-league victory over the Lynx.

Boyle collected a game-high 19 points while Walker added 12. Their efforts were key to UP (2-1) taking an 18-7 first-quarter lead that held up the rest of the way.
