First Team singles
Luke Shevlin, Sr., W.C. Rustin
The University of Delaware recruit was a mainstay for the Golden Knights. He finished second in the Ches-Mont American championship. He won two matches at the District 1 tournament, before falling to Unionville’s Tristan Bradley in the quarterfinal. Is also a very accomplished golfer.
Tristan Bradley, Soph., Unionville
Quickly establishing himself as one of the top players in the area, the sophomore makes the first team for the second straight season. He was knocked off by eventual champion Sameer Gangoli of Great Valley in the semifinals of the Ches-Mont American tournament. He placed sixth in the District 1 tourney and won a match at the PIAA team tournament.
Nikhil Gangoli, Jr. Great Valley
The junior won a pair of contests at the PIAA team tournament to lead the Patriots to a second-place finish in the state. Gangoli also proved his versatility by teaming with Sam Kesti to win the Ches-Mont American title. They went on to finsh second at districts and third at states.
Brett Graybill, Sr., Downingtown West
The senior traveled all the way to the Ches-Mont National finals before running int a big roadblock — DLN Player of the Year Michael Dickson of Downingtown East. Graybill was beaten by Dickson in straight sets. At districts, he fell in the first round.
Sameer Gangoli, Fr., Great Valley
The freshman made a big splash at the high school level, rolling to the Ches-Mont American championship. He reached the district quarterfinals, before eventually collecting a fifth-place finish.
James Harrington Sr., Malvern Prep
The senior went unbeaten during the season in the Inter-Ac. He placed third at the Inter-Ac singles tournament.
First Team Doubles
Brett Graybill & Dylan McKay, Downingtown West
The duo captured the Ches-Mont National title, surviving a three-set match in the semifinal, before capturing the first set of the final in a tie-break. Then they went on to win in two sets. They won their first-round contest at districts, then fell in the quarterfinals.
Jason Listmeier & Luc DeCecco, Downingtown East
The pair took third at Ches-Monts, beating teammates Tristan McBride and Jay Pendyala. They were ousted in the first round of districts in the first round.
