Friends’ Central girls’ relay squad earns All-American status at New Balance Nationals

Six Friends’ Central student-athletes traveled to Greensboro, N.C. to compete in the New Balance Nationals Outdoor 2017 at Aggie Stadium (North Carolina A&T State University).
It was the first time the track team had represented Friends’ Central on the outdoor national stage.
The girls 4×800 relay of Emily Burd [2:20.09], Izzy MacFarlane[2:17.13], Ava Forman [2:20.88] and Gabby Wilkinson [2:07.77] ran a personal best and Friends’ Central School record time of 9:05.86 to finish in fourth place and earn All-American status.
Robby Saligman competed in the emerging elite pole vault and finished at 14’3.5″.
The 4×400 relay team of Izzy MacFarlane, Ava Forman, Sidney Mcleod-Whitener and Emily Burd ran a 4:06.50 in emerging elite. Gabby Wilkinson ran in the seeded heat of the 800-meter run Championship and was clocked at 2:11.38.
