A bad first inning was too much for Delco Christian to overcome in the District 1 Class 2A softball semifinals.
Calvary Christian scored eight times in the bottom of the first inning and rode that outburst to a 10-0 victory over the Knights.
Calvary Christian takes on top-seeded Bristol next Wednesday in the championship. Pitcher Kary Stauffer did most of the damage for Calvary. She allowed four hits and blasted a grand slam in the first inning.
Ronnie Falasco had two of the four hits for DC (10-11).
