Pyott, Notre Dame golf team make history

Notre Dame senior Bridget Pyott etched her name in the history books Thursday when she became the first individual champion while leading the Irish to the team title in the inaugural Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association girls golf championship.
Pyott carded a 38 at Brookside Country Club, beating teammate and runner-up Brianna Marmorstein by four strokes. Olivia Traynor, who placed fifth, joined Addie Lennon and Katie Lennon as Notre Dame scored 170 to outdistance The Hill School (181) and Episcopal Academy (202).
