Norristown too much for Pottstown

POTTSTOWN >> Steph Orman and Bailee Hendricks supplied the offense, both accounting for three RBI as Norristown downed Pottstown 15-1 in Pioneer Athletic Conference play Monday afternoon.

Orman was also solid in the circle striking out three in picking up the win in the mercy-rule shortened contest. She only allowed one hit with no walks.

Pottstown’s Gianna Epps had the team’s lone hit. She singled to center before advancing to third on an errant throw out of play while she was in a self-induced rundown. She came around to score on a wild pitch.

Perkiomen School 12, Barrack Hebrew Academy 0 >> An eight-run seventh inning put the game away as the Panthers downed Barrack in Tri-County League play. Juliane Haussmann led the team with three RBI to go along with a triple and two hits. Ally Brauchle finished with a hit, a two-run homer.

Haussmann got the win in the circle, striking out 14 in her complete game effort.

Twin Valley 5, Daniel Boone 1 >> The Blazers dropped their matchup against Twin Valley during the opening round of the Berks County Interscholastic Athletic Association (BCIAA) playoffs.

Gabby Willman blasted a solo home run during the top of the fourth inning for No. 5 seed Daniel Boone’s lone run. Grace Marsalo blasted a two-run triple that proved all the cushion No. 4 Twin Valley would need.
