Trailing Ridley by two in the bottom of the seventh inning Wednesday night, Haverford received a two-run single from Ali Murphy to tie the game and Lindsay Moran singled home Murphy for a 10-9 win, clinching the Central League title.
Ridley jumped out to 4-0 and 9-7 leads, but Heather Lazer shut the door on the Green Raiders and also doubled twice for Haverford (15-3 overall, 15-1 league).
Springfield 3, Harriton 1 >> Jenna Casasanto did it all for the Cougars, picking up two hits and scoring twice to go along with an eight-strikeout complete game as Springfield edged the Rams.
Ashley Scarpato was 3 for 4 and scored a run for the Cougars (8-7, 8-7).
Marple Newtown 12, Strath Haven 2 >> Paige Benasutti bashed a first-inning home run as an appetizer to a 4-for-4, five-RBI day, and Nicole Atkins reached base four times and drove in a pair of runs as the two seniors left their mark on Senior Night for the Tigers (5-11).
Garnet Valley 7, Lower Merion 0 >> Hope DiMario cranked out a two-run home run as part of a three-run third inning that gave Allison Ferrante all the offensive support she needed in a six-strikeout complete game for the Jaguars (10-8, 10-8).
Penncrest 10, Radnor 5 >> Julia Eckels and Annalise McLarnon both drove in a pair of runs, Melody Gleason scored twice and had a key fourth-inning hit and Maya Hartman struck out five on the way to a complete game for the Lions (14-3, 12-3).
Upper Darby 2, Conestoga 1 >> Sam Witmer and Rebecca Sorrentino both drove in runs and Sorrentino doubled twice while also tossing a four-hit, four-strikeout complete game as the Royals nipped the Pioneers.
In the Inter-Ac:
Notre Dame 7, Penn Charter 1 >> Grace Jackson was close to untouchable in the circle for the Irish, fanning nine batters and scattering three hits to go with a 3-for-4, two-run day.
Marissa Mycek cracked a pair of doubles and drove in three runs for Notre Dame.
In the Del Val:
Chichester 15, Penn Wood 0 >> Sam Falcone doubled as part of a 3-for-3 day as the Eagles soared.
In the Bicentennial League:
Christian Academy 12, Friends Select 2 >> The Crusaders (7-7, 6-7) turned in their most complete outing of the season, propelled by Dejah Burley-Chambers’ three-run double in the fifth inning that invoked the mercy rule.
Burley-Chambers added another two-bagger, while Grace Gormley scored three times and added two RBI and two hits.
Delco Christian 17, MaST Charter 11 >> Dani Strafford and Ellie Eppright both brought in three runs and Ronnie Falasco and Bekha Myers drove in two apiece as the Knights (8-9, 5-9) kicked a late field goal to ice it.
In the Ches-Mont League:
Oxford 17, Sun Valley 10 >> Madison Koons drilled a two-RBI triple that gave the Vanguards (11-7, 10-7) an early lead and All-Delco Mackenzie Lewis scored twice, but Sun Valley couldn’t keep pace in a slugfest.
