Upper Perkiomen, Pope John Paul II softball pick up PAC wins

Upper Perkiomen 16, Pottstown 5 >> Taylor Lindsay fell a single short of the cycle to highlight the Tribe’s 15-hit rout of the Trojans in PAC Frontier Division play.

Lindsay finished 3-for-3 with three RBI and three runs scored while Karlee Fretz was 4-for-4 with four RBI and three runs scored as UP jumped out to a 9-1 lead by the end of the second inning. Fretz also picked up the win in the circle, limiting Pottstown to seven hits and striking out five. Katarina Kincade and Alivia Lopez had two hits apiece in the loss.

Pope John Paul II 7, Pottsgrove 3 >> The Golden Panthers’ three-run second inning gave them enough cushion to fend off the Falcons in PAC Frontier Division play.

Alexandra Szpindor picked up the win in the circle and also posted key hits along with Nicole Bowen, Amanda Butera and Ashley Remington.
