Spring-Ford edges Owen J. Roberts in extras

Spring-Ford 3, Owen J. Roberts 2 >> The Rams were extended to nine innings by the Wildcats before pulling out the PAC Liberty Division victory.

Megan Maziarz (3-for-4), Ashley Della Guardia and Julie Heine all drove in runs for Spring-Ford, which helped force the extra-inning scenario by pulling even with OJR in the sixth. Bridget Guinan went 4-for-4 to lead Roberts.

Methacton 9, Boyertown 3 >> Scoring seven runs in their second at-bat, the Warriors erased the Bears’ early lead and went on to win this PAC Liberty Division pairing.

Home runs by Alyssa Acker and Taylor Garcia were the highlight for Boyertown, which opened a three-run lead in the first.

Perkiomen School 18, West-Mont Christian 2 >> The Panthers, keyed by Ally Brauchle’s one-hit pitching and an offense that waited out 14 walks, rolled to a mercy-rule victory over the Wings in Tri-County League play.

Brauchle had five strikeouts against three walks, limiting West-Mont to all its runs in the third inning. Perkiomen, however, racked up all its runs through three at-bats with help from Paige DelConte’s four-RBI outing.

Phoenixville 5, Interboro 1 >> The Phantoms got a solid pitching effort from Jess Eldridge in their non-league victory over Interboro.

Eldridge allowed one run on three hits and struck out six. The Phoenixville offense was led by Jess Anthony’s triple.

Pope John Paul II 13, Mount St. Joseph 4 >> Alexandra Spzindor tossed a complete game and went 3-for-4 with a triple, two RBI and two runs scored for the Golden Panthers in their non-league victory over MSJ.

Pottsgrove 4, Souderton 3 >> Kelsey Hochstuhl, Shauna Maggio and Jay Dinnocenti drove in runs to help the Falcons edge the Big Red in their non-league outing.

Perkiomen Valley 12, Gwynedd Mercy 0 >> Abby Wild was solid both offensively and defensively during the Vikings’ non-conference win over Gwynedd Mercy.

Wild finished with a pair of hits and two runs scored and also picked up the win in the circle where she struck out 12 on her way to a one-hitter. Jordan Sell (two runs scored, RBI) and Ashley Bangert (run scored, two RBI) each finished with a pair of hits while Sela Fusco had two runs scored and three RBI.
